Background:

This series of reports presents findings from discussion groups hosted by Student Affairs in which UCLA undergraduate and graduate students responded to questions regarding their college experiences. Members of the Council of Student Affairs Directors, along with administrators, deans, and undergraduate student leaders, were invited to observe. Because events like these take place in front of an audience, the format is described as a “fishbowl” discussion. Detailed descriptions of students’ remarks and the methods used to organize and conduct the groups are included in the reports.
