Jennifer Keup joined SAIRO after six years working with the Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP) at UCLA’s Higher Education Research Institute (HERI). Dr. Keup received her B.A. degree (1993) in Psychology and her M.A. (1998) and Ph.D. (2002) degrees in Higher Education and Organizational Change at UCLA. In 2002, she was recognized by the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) as the Outstanding Doctoral Student for her professional service and dissertation research. Her research interests focus on students’ personal and academic development during the transition from high school to college, the influence of campus programming on adjustment to college, student development in college, and issues of institutional impact, responsiveness, and transformation in higher education. Dr. Keup currently serves on the review board for the Journal of the First-Year Experience and Students in Transition and on the Directorate Board for the ACPA Commission on Admissions, Orientation, and the First-Year Experience. |

Casandra E. Harper is a Doctoral Candidate in Higher Education and Organizational Change at UCLA and a research analyst at SAIRO. She received her B.S. in Psychology and M.A. in Higher Education, with an emphasis in College Student Personnel, from the University of Arizona. Her research interests include: racial identity development among multiracial college students, campus climate assessment; and the differential impact of college on women and men.

Breana St. John is a Master’s student in the Student Affairs program in the UCLA, Graduate School of Education & Information Studies as well as an intern for SAIRO. She received her B.A. in Sociology from California Lutheran University and later returned to the university as an administrator. Breana worked for three years in the Academic Affairs division as a counselor and eventually as director of the Student Support Services program. This federally-funded program focused on holistically developing and graduating first-generation, low-income college students. |

Rozana Carducci is a Doctoral Candidate in the UCLA Division of Higher Education and Organizational Change and a SAIRO research analyst. Rozana holds a B.A. in political science and international studies from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and an M.S. in College Student Personnel from Miami University in Ohio. Her research interests include: the commercialization of higher education, university leadership, student affairs administration, and critical qualitative methodologies.

Fanny PF Yeung is a doctoral student in the Graduate School of Education and Information Sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles and a research analyst in the Student Affairs Information and Research Office. Her current research interests focus on access to success and student retention in higher education for first-generation college students, children of immigrants, and former participants of outreach programs and challenges of Asian American female faculty members in higher education.
